Antique Swiss 1893 SIG Mannlicher Cavalry Carbine S/N 652
Description: Antique Swiss Army 1893 SIG-Mannlicher cavalry carbine, one of only 4250 made by SIG Neuhausen in 1895. In 1896 the Waffenfabrik Bern took over production. As the 1889 Schmidt- Rubin straight pull action was to long for a cavalry carbine, SIG came up with new Austrian Mannlicher straight bolt action design. It proved unpopular with troops due to its harsh recoil and bolt mechanism that was challenging to disassemble/reassemble in the field. Original blue metal finish, intact tiger striped walnut stock, all matching serial numbers. 21.6" barrel with mirror bright bore, OAL=40.1", LOP=12.2", weight=6.8 lbs. Six-round detachable box magazine in 7.5x53.5mm (Gewehrpatrone 1890). Metal surface with some specs of patina and local thinning, stock arsenal refinished to perfection. Six original six-round chargers included. Add this scarce early production Sig carbine to your collection. Antique: Yes Rifle Caliber: 7.5x53.5 Swiss (GP90) Price: $2,124.00 Shipping: $80.00 Contact Seller |
