Hanyang Type 88 made in the Hanyang Arsenal in WUHAN China. Ever hear of that place ! This rifle is over a hundred years old so no FFL is needed for this collectoer rifle. It looks in very impressive condition for the age but here is the downside. The bolt is missing the bolt head and extractor. Firing pin and other bolt parts are intact. The stock has a crack on top of tang, see pictures but is only as deep as you can see. Does not go through. The rear screw that holds the trigger guard, although the correct one, will not screw in all the way. I think threads are either rusty or ???. the bore is dark but decent condition as is the rifling grooves. The stock and metal are in good condition for the age with a little pitting here and there. . See pictures and decide for yourself. (Check out the Chinese Marking on the buttstock) For somebody who isn't looking for a rifle to shoot, ( i do think this rifle could be fired if the items mentioned were repaired) and just have in your collection this is the one and the price is right.
