Springfield 1816 Converted .69 cal. musket

Description:
This rugged muskets saw double duty as a flintlock and later as a percussion conversion, with a 42" long barrel and .69 cal/. bore which is fouled, but would clean up better with a stainless steel brush. And the Aged American walnut stock is solid with common field use dings and scrapes. Comes with a button steel ram-rod, amd the lock works well, with very fine pitting on the lock-plate and near the nipple the pitting is more agressive. Gun shows upo well and both sides of the Civil War used these muskets.
When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith  before  shooting.
