Sights / Optics: The front sight is a bladed post set atop a ramped base and between 2 protective ears. The rear of the sight is a U notched blade attached to an escalator assembly.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The hardwood stock has a straight grip with finger groove, barrel band, nose cap assembly with sight wings & bayonet lug, 2 sling loops, no unit marking disk, and a brass buttplate with hinged door for storage. Both the top and bottom of the buttplate are proud of the wood. The wood shows numerous scrapes, scratches, and compression marks. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.
Type of Finish: Blue and fairly strong but then again, this is FTR marked so likely went through an arsenal refinish in the 50's.
Bore Condition: The bore is dusty from storage but shows super clean deep rifling.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 75% of its current metal finish. The rifle has wear but is overall better looking than most of this age. Overall, this rifle rates in about Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The rifle comes with asling and a 10 round magazine. The magazine appears to function properly.
