"Erfurt Kar 88 Cavalry Carbine 7.92x57 (AL6011)

Description:
"

Imperial German '88 carbine made by Erfurt, dated 1893. Has the ""nm"" marking indicating the ""new material"" improved barrel, but is not stamped ""S"". All numbers are matching. The bore is dark with strong rifling. The barrel and magazine have good blue, the receiver has a gray patina. The muzzle cap is unit marked ""B.3.Ch.1.38."" The stock is very good. A nice example of a scarce Mauser carbine.
