"German Commission Gew 88 Rifle 8x57mm (AL8073)

Serial No. 5240D, made in 1891 by Erfurt, 8x57mm, 29"" length barrel. Overall good condition with Turkish sight added, this gun was probably sent to the Turks in WWI. Stock shows dings and scratches. Bore shows strong rifling with minor areas of frosting in the grooves. Regimental markings are stamped on the barrel band
