Early pre-war SA used Walther K98 . 22 caliber trainer or youth training rifle. This rifle is marked for the Thuringen SA group. These were used both pre war time and during WWII to train the German youth on the K98 frame. Smaller caliber to cut costs and make shooting easier on the Hitler youth. Sports model. This is NOT a sporterized version. This is an original gun circa 1930's in very fine condition with finish, bore and wood in outstanding condition. Scarce original sling.
