Stock has been lightly refurbished, and the cleaning rod channel has been filled. The imperial chrysanthemum (mum) has been ground off, as was common for surrendered rifles. Action is smooth and functions correctly. Includes an original Type 30 hooked quillon bayonet, also manufactured by Kokura Arsenal. Bayonet is in very good condition. A solid representative example of an early-war Type 38 infantry rifle with matching arsenal bayonet.
