Arisaka Type 38 Carbine - Full Mum
Description:
This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 38 Carbine issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It has a completely intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver and is all matching except for the bolt release lever and rear sight. Comes with cleaning rod. There is very little bluing loss, but we believe the finish has been at least partially restored. While there is almost no actual finish loss, there are areas of minor pitting under the finish throughout. Brown patina on the butt plate. The stock has no major damage but shows all of the normal signs of battle use. Tiny crack in the wood just in front of the rear sight. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting and oxidation in the grooves.
