Description:
The Type 97 was developed as a modified Type 38 and was produced as a Sniper Rifle. It features a scope mount on the left side of the receiver, and a bent bolt handle to clear a mounted scope. The chambering was a light recoil 6.5 mm Arisaka, and this was enhanced with a long barrel to improve ballistics. It also aided in quieting the muzzle report, allowing for more stealth for the shooter. This actually worked so well, many of the Allied troops would use them as battlefield pick-ups. This one has sharp stamps, including the "Chrysanthemum." The stock has no splits. 6.5x50mm
