Arisaka ~ Type 99 ~ 7.7mm Japanese

Description:
Good shape overall but missing some things. The metal is in good shape despite its age. It has some patina and thinned finish here and there but no apparent rust. The dust cover and tangents for the antiaircraft sight are missing and the Imperial chrysanthemum has been ground off. These are fairly commonly lost on examples of this rifle. The wood has more than likely been refinished at some point. Various dents and scratches of varying levels of severity adorn the stock. Markings indicate that this rifle was manufactured at the Nagoya Arsenal. The bayonet was made at the Kokura Arsenal and the serial number does not match the rifle. The bayonet and a leather sling are included. 7.7 Japanese

Metal Condition: Good.
Wood Condition: Good.
Bore Condition: Very good. Good shine and little to no darkening but rifling has lost a lot of definition.
Barrels: 26" Blued.
Triggers: Blued metal with smooth face.
Stock Dimensions:
Hardwood with 12¾" LOP.
Fore End: Hardwood.
Butt Pad: Metal plate.
Weight: 8lbs 4oz
Sights: Fixed front blade with elevation adjustable rear ladder.
