Last-Ditch Arisaka Type 99 Rifle - Full Mum
Description: This is an Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military at the very end of WW2. It is all matching and has a completely intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. This one is considered a "last-ditch" rifle, given its very late war features: wood butt plate, crude bolt handle, crude machining, and peep-style rear sight. There is very little actual bluing loss overall, but there is brown patina and textured spotty oxidation covering all of the metal parts. There is some Kanji writing on the left side of the butt stock. The stock appears to have been finished with a thin layer of lacquer. There are small dings and scratches throughout (typical with these guns) and minor chips in the finish throughout. Tiny chip adjacent to the left stock disc and a small crack in the lower hand guard.
