Mint WWII Arisaka Japanese Type 2 Paratrooper Matching MUM Type 99 Nagoya
Description: ***California Shipping Dealer*** Curio Relic Beautiful, all matching WWII Japanese Type 2 Type 2 Paratrooper rifle made by the Nagoya Arsenal. The rifle is a take down variation of the Type 99 short rifle used primarily by the TERA and SNLF forces of the Imperial Military. The Type 2 rifles were all regular type 99 rifles that were converted beginning in 1943. The rifle is able to split into two halves. Chambered in 7.7 Jap and featuring a 25.7" chrome lined barrel. All were produced by the Nagoya Factory and only about 22,000 total were made. The select features of these rifles are as follows: Full Length Hand guard, Cupped-metal butt plate, front sight guards, oval bolt handle, knurled safety knob, NON-monopod rear band, 2 screw rear sling swivel, 21 5/16" cleaning rod with square release button. Early rifles had two drain holes in the stock. Then they went away. This example shows the one in front of the separation section. Matching numbers here on the receiver, bolt, safety knob, extractor and front band (bayo lug). The other numbers are assembly numbers, not related to the serial numbers. they should match each other and this example does, # 263. Not often found in this condition, this example is pristine and really is a gorgeous one! The bluing is just wonderful and almost all there at about 98-99%. The stock is free of any major blemishes and is just very well preserved all these years. This rifle is packed full of cosmoline and appears to never been taken out of the action. Every screw head is upturned or gnarled. The bore has excellent rifling! The MUM is there and was just touched a tad. The symbols on the receiver read from muzzle to breech-"2 type." A very collectible, hard to find in this condition rifle for the WW II collector or military enthusiast. I accept Post Office Money Orders, Personal Check, Zelle and credit card as payment. All Credit Cards incur a 2.99% fee which is in addition to the final price as shown in the Order. Please allow me to give you a complete total. All Credit Cards will need to be done over the phone. Thank You. Insurance is not included in shipping. Please allow me to add that to the total at your request at a rate of 2% per every $100. Thank you for looking. Please let me know any questions.
