Scarce Pre-WW2 Japanese Type 44 Arisaka Cavalry Carbine W/ Folding Bayonet

Description:
Rare original pre-WW2 Japanese type 44 Cavalry carbine chambered in 6.5 Jap with original folding bayonet. These rifles are extremely rare as there were less than 92,000 of these ever made compared to over 3,500,000 type 99's. Normal wear and handling marks on the metal and furniture and the mum has been removed. Bore is dark with visible rifling but could use a good scrubbing and like most Japanese rifles the firing pin is present but the tip is broken which is easily replaced with a standard type 38 firing pin. There are no cracks or major damage to the furniture and the action functions perfectly and while the numbers do not all match the entire rifle is intact with no missing or reproduction parts. Overall a solid very hard to find rifle. C&R OK
