"Japanese Contract “P" Series VZ.24 Bolt Action Rifle – 8mm Mauser (L2025-11500)

"Serial No. P55820, manufactured in 1937, 8mm Mauser, 24" round barrel. Serial numbers are matching throughout, and the rifle retains the majority of its original blue finish with some light thinning noted. Receiver is clearly marked “1937". These rifles were produced under contract for both the Chinese Nationalist forces and Imperial Japan. Chinese-used examples typically exhibit heavy wear and little remaining finish, whereas Japanese-issued rifles—such as this one—tend to survive in very good condition. Stock shows scattered light handling impressions. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A scarce and desirable example of the Japanese contract VZ.24, representing a unique intersection of Czech craftsmanship and East Asian wartime history.
