"WWII Japanese Type 99 Rifle 7.7x58mm, Toyo Kogyo Series 30 (L2025-09693) Consignment

Description:
"Serial No. 8018, made mid-1941, 7.7x58mm, 26" round barrel. The Imperial chrysanthemum (mum) is still visible on the receiver. The barrel and receiver retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, while the barrel bands have thinned to a grey patina. The bolt is mismatched and numbered “810"; firing pin and safety knob are unmarked, which is occasionally seen in early series replacements or mismatched service rifles. The anti-aircraft sight wings and monopod have been removed, though the base for both remains visible. Stock is the early two-piece rear style with drain holes intact, showing expected handling and usage marks consistent with field service. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A very representative and desirable early-war Japanese Type 99, retaining its mum and key arsenal identifiers. Consignment
