"WWII Japanese Type 99 Rifle by Toyo Kogyo Arsenal (Series 33) – 7.7x58mm Arisaka (L2025-08955)

"Serial No. 89102, manufactured early to mid-1944 by Toyo Kogyo Arsenal, 7.7x58mm, 25½" round barrel. Serial numbers on the bolt and receiver are matching, with the safety knob replaced from an earlier series. Metal surfaces have aged to a brown/grey patina, and the stock shows expected handling marks from field use. The imperial chrysanthemum (mum) has been ground off. This Series 33 example omits the “TYPE 99" receiver marking and was produced without attachment points for the anti-aircraft sight wings. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A solid and untouched bring-back rifle, representative of late-war Japanese production changes.
