"WWII Japanese Type II Paratrooper Rifle 7.7x58mm Takedown Model (L2025-09135)

Description:
"Serial No. 13902, made circa late 1943, 7.7x58mm, 25 1/16" round barrel. Receiver is marked in Kanji with “Type 2" designation and retains the original chrysanthemum (mum) emblem along with anti-aircraft rear sights. Serial numbers are matching throughout, including the internal bolt components. Factory assembly numbers (171) are also matching, this includes the take down pin confirming original configuration. Stock is in good condition with expected handling wear and surface marks from field use. Metal finish shows light surface oxidation, typical of wartime rifles stored long-term. Roughly 21,200 Type II rifles were produced, making them extremely scarce, especially in all-matching configuration. Designed for Japanese paratroopers, this takedown bolt-action rifle combines the action of the Type 99 Arisaka with a two-piece stock and locking mechanism for disassembly during airborne operations. A rare and historically significant Japanese WWII rifle seldom encountered in this condition.
