SN: 856421. Semi-automatic military carbine made by the Inland Division of GM. Receiver dates to 1942, while barrel is dated 7-44. Blue Sky import mark on barrel. Type 3 Inland barrel band, adjustable Hemphill subcontract rear sight and Rock-Ola late war type 2 front sight all suggest post-war re-arsenal. However the stock does not have any visible cartouches, and is a mix of design features (early wide grip with later low wood and oval oiler cut), suggesting it was replaced overseas or when it was re-imported. Buttplate is a loose fit, and there is a crack in the stock behind the sling cutout. Parkerized finish is good with some handling marks, and the bore is excellent. Action functions correctly.
