"Quality Hardware M1 Carbine with Post-War Alterations .30 Carbine (L2026-06481)

"Serial no. 4662020. Manufactured late 1943 by Quality Hardware & Machine Company, chambered in .30 Carbine,18"" round barrel marked “UNDERWOOD/11-43/Flaming Bomb." The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The carbine has been upgraded with typical post-war features including a Type III front barrel band with bayonet lug marked “MMQ," and a rotary safety. The Type II milled adjustable rear sight is marked with an “H" inside a shield. The low wood stock shows a faint outline of a cartouche on the right side, with the sling well marked “P-U." Quality Hardware carbines often utilized subcontracted barrels such as this Underwood example during wartime production. The rifle is equipped with a sling and oiler. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
