The front sight is marked “RIA," while the bayonet lug barrel band is marked “KI." The Type II adjustable rear sight is marked with an “H" inside a shield. The original push-button safety has been replaced with a rotary safety during post-war updating. The low wood stock remains in very good condition, showing minimal handling impressions, with the sling well stamped “PU" and the serial number “5099840" stamped on the left side of the stock. The carbine comes equipped with a bayonet, scabbard, oiler, and sling. Inland was the largest producer of M1 Carbines during WWII, and many rifles saw post-war arsenal upgrades while remaining in military service.
