Description:
"Serial no. 507704. Manufactured circa early 1943 by Inland Division of General Motors, chambered in .30 Carbine,18"" round barrel marked “INLAND MFG./GENERAL MOTORS/7-43." The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The front barrel band is marked “UI," and the rifle retains a flip-style safety. The rear flip sight is unmarked. The low wood stock remains in very good condition, showing light handling impressions, with a faint post-war re-arsenal cartouche visible on the right side. The sling well is marked “IO." Inland was the largest producer of M1 Carbines during WWII, and rifles such as this often saw continued service and refurbishment after the war. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
