"Serial no. 3498077. Manufactured circa 1943 by Saginaw Steering Gear Division,chambered in .30 Carbine,18"" round barrel marked “BUFFALO ARMS/10-43/Flaming Bomb." The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The carbine remains largely in its WWII configuration, with only a rotary safety added during post-war updating. The low wood stock is very good and retains handsome “SG" and ordnance crossed cannons cartouches, with light handling impressions noted throughout. Buffalo Arms Corporation produced barrels for M1 Carbine production during WWII, supplying several prime contractors. The carbine comes equipped with its oiler and sling. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
