The carbine now features a bayonet lug barrel band (unmarked), a round bolt, and a Type III adjustable rear sight marked with an “H" inside a shield, indicating late/post-war production or refurbishment components. The push-button safety has been replaced with the upgraded flip-style safety, a common post-war improvement for reliability and ease of use. The low wood “pot belly" stock is in very good condition, showing only light handling impressions from service and storage.The action is smooth and functions correctly, making this a great representative of a WWII-produced Winchester that saw continued service into the post-war period.
