Feb. 1944 WWII Winchester M1 Carbine .30 carbine w/ two 15-rd Magazines and Accessories
Description: WWII M1 Carbine manufactured by Winchester in February 1944, serial #56183xx, in good to very good condition. It comes with two pre-ban 15-round magazines, one marked "SY-B" made by IBM and the other marked "SW" made by Stanley Works. Also included are a replica mag pounch, sling and oiler. It has a Winchester "W" marked barrel. The rifling is good, though the bore shows some graying on the lands. There are no import markings on this CMP rifle. Other markings and characteristics include: Bolt: Early to mid-war flat bolt Sights: P.I.-marked (Inland) Type II milled adjustable rear sight; unmarked front sight, typical of Winchester Type I front sights Magazine Release: "WA" over M-marked Type IV magazine release Other: Type III barrel band with bayonet lug and the initials KI, and a late-war Type IV rotary style safety The stock is a Type III low wood arsenal replacement in good shape with almost no wear or usage marks except for small scrapes at the seam between the stock and buttplate. The number 216 is painted on the bottom of the pistol grip and there are also a few small spots of residue from a white sticker on the right side of the stock. The stock has the oval-shaped oiler recess in the rear portion of the buttstock that doubles as a rear sling mount point. Both a replica oiler and replica sling are included in this listing. The handguard is an original wartime 4-rivet version that shows normal usage and handling marks.
