For your consideration the Inland M1A1 Carbine Paratrooper semi-auto rifle chambered .30 Carbine. This M1 was made by Inland under the Saginaw Sub Contract, denoted by the X at the end of the serial number. The receiver dates to 1943, likely August based on the serial. The barrel is stamped Inland Mfg Div, General Motors 11-43. The folding stock looks to be original, minus the leather cheek rest which might have been replaced. .30 Carbine
