Offered here for sale and just acquired is this very fine WWII issue Underwood M1 .30 caliber carbine. Serial number is 2,872,656, it places it within the Underwood serial production range of 2,352,520 to 2,912,519, corresponding to production between July 1943 and February 1944. Standard M1 Carbine barrel length across manufacturers—including Underwood—was approximately 17.75 inches.

• The bore is fine. The bolt lever appears is blued. The barrel shows some average wear. The buttstock has a very sharp cartouche on it and appears unmarred. The blued bolt lever, grade of wear, and finish conditions all align with typical handling and use characteristics of wartime-issue carbines. The top handguard has a very minor chip in it. Upon request we can touch up with stain to match before shipping. As is this is a very fine and usable M1 carbine we will ship with 15 round magazine (only in states where this is not prohibited).

NOTE: Because the carbine is ALL MATCHING (including magazine) for the purist collector certainly the rear sight can be switch out to original. WITH OVER 100 NEW ADDITIONS ACQUIRED RECENTLY WE WILL LEAVE UP TO THE BUYER WHO MAY HAVE OR HAVE ACCESS TO ORIGINAL PARTS AND CERTAINLY EASILY OBTAINED ON THE INTERNET.
