Description: This is a very clean little M1 Carbine. It has a Saganaw receiver within the serial number range that they were given from the Irwin-Patterson's range when Irwin-Patterson failed to have any of their rifles accepted by the US military. This carbine has a group of eclectic parts as can be seen in the photographs, Contrary to what many people may think a very large number of M1 carbine's left there factory's with mismatched manufacturers parts on them. For instance Inland Shipped approximately 34,000 barrels to Saginaw to aid in production Rock-Ola, Underwood and NPM also are recorded as shipping miscellaneous parts to Saginaw as the war progressed so they could fulfill orders. This carbine comes with a sling and oiler that look to possible be period correct. It also comes with a Canvas Bag with a sling that I believe to be a reproduction but still a nice touch. It is also fitted with a 1955 dated bayonet Italian manufactured by AET (Arsenal Esercito Torino) with a scabbord these we quality made bayonets. It also has an RO stamped new manufacture 15 round magazine. The stock has been refinished and It looks like the previous owner removed some extra wood in front of the gas piston. This in no way will negatively affect functioning. Very fun guns to take to the range with decently priced ammunition available.
