Standard Products (6-43)
Description: Sold ! This Standard Products Carbine was mfg abt 6/1943. Standard Prodicts production contract was for the period of 4/43 - 5/44)) they mfg only about 247,160 units during this time. They had only one production block & were the smallest producer of Carbines during WW II. This Carbine has a Flip Rear Sight w/the block "S"on the Left Side. Note for all prospective collectors I use R. C. Larson's "M-1 Carbine 2nd Edition & Craig Riesch's 7th Edition books for my references. In Larson's Book only rear "Flip Sight's" were installed on all of the Standard Products production run. The firearm's bluing is abt 95% and all parts are matching & all component parts are correct (See Inventory List of Component Parts to follow). The barrel is an Inland & matches the production date of "6/1943". It is bright & shiney w/excellent rifling The Buttstock is correct w/an ordance Stamp of "Cross Cannons". Also the sling well has the correct initials of "S-HB". It is about 80-85%. The Handguard is a correct 2-Hole w/the initials of "S-HB" and is 98%. The action is normal & cycles correctly. (The sling, oiler & magazine are for presentation purposes only and not included). This Standard Products Has the following inventory of component parts; Rear Sight T1 Flip w/"S" (Block), Barrel - T2B Mfg 6/43 by Inland, Front Sight - T1 - w "N", Gas Piston Nut - T1, Barrel Skirt - T1, Bolt - T2 Flat, Firing Pin - T1 "WS", Extractot - T3 "SW", Extract Plunger - T3, Ejector - T1, Trig Hsg - T3 "5/64", Trigger - T2 "SA", Sear = T1 "SW"< Hammer - T2 "SW",Safety - T2 "UM", Mag Catch - T2A "SW", Oper Slide - T4 - "S/S-75", Oper Slide Stop - T3, Stock - Ordnance Cross Cannons w/"SHB" in Sling Well,Hand guard - T2 - 2 hole w/"S-HB" initials, Recoil Plate - T2 - "SW", Recoil Pl Screw - T2 UM, Barrel Band Swivel - T1A - UM, Butt Plate - "S-S3".
