Standard Products M-1 Carbine, 1944, Cal. 30
Description: US M-1 Carbine, Standard Products, 98% collector quality, I doubt it was ever fired. Serial number 2,238,170. All parts are correct for make and time period. Stock is pristine and correctly cartouched.. Original finish with no observable dings or dents in the wood. The only negatives are a S-S3 butt plate with some light wear and some spotting, a few very small dark spots in the original Parkerizing on the barrel and near the end of the barrel. (See pics. High intensity lighting makes them appear worse than room lighting). Carbine has been completely disassembled, cleaned and wax coated for preservation. Underwood barrel, dated 3-44 with ordnance flaming bomb. Bore is mint. Front sight with a vertical N behind blade. P proof about 6” from front sight. Type B band. No markings, 4 light welds. Rear flip sight with square S on left side otherwise unmarked. Blued spring. No stake markings. Dark, black receiver, front band and front sight with grey parkerized barrel and rear flip sight. Long barrel skirt. Flip sight has single lineal stake mark on right front side. Stake mark shows bright metal at bottom. Receiver stamped US Carbine over Cal. 30 M1. Punch mark in front of rear sight with bright metal at bottom. Never refinished. Marked Std. Pro. over serial #2238170 on rear of receiver. Left front of receiver stamped with 17A. Flat end on slide slot channel. Narrow tang on rear of receiver. Recoil plate marked SW on right side of tang. Type 2 slide with circled S in the well and 13 on the bottom. Flat, blued bolt with upside down 53S on left lug. Ejector and firing pin marked SW. IBM Trigger housing marked BE-B on left rear. This is correct for later production. Straight, type 3, in the white hammer marked with S-HE with a T over the HE (Hawk Engineering). Trigger is marked S-C. Type one sear, with hole, marked SW. Type 2 safety is unmarked. Magazine release is marked SW. Butt plate marked S-S3 on left side. Included accessories include an excellent WW11 sling, NOS SP magazine and oiler marked ISP. An all correct and I believe original carbine worthy of the finest collection. Shipping charges will be via Fedex ground to buyer zip code. Must have copy of a signed C&R or FFL01 before shipping.
