Standard Products M1 Carbine, cal. .30 Carbine, SN: 2212447, made early 1944, with 18-inch barrel, blued front sight stamped N with protective ears, parkerized barrel marked "UNDERWOOD / 2-44" over ordnance bomb and "P" proof. Unmarked barrel band with wide swivel aperture. Flip rear sight with "S" marked base. Chamber marked "US CARBINE / CAL.30 M1". Rear receiver "STD. PRO. /2212447". Recoil plate marked "Standard Products". High wood walnut stock with oval oiler cut, unmarked pistol grip, sling recess "SJ", deeply struck ordnance wheel on right side of butt, buttplate with squared checkering. Magazine marked "K-IP" on the spine. Disassembly shows handguard with "S-HB", trigger guard marked "ST" on right side, hammer marked "SW" on left side. Standard Products was the second smallest M1 Carbine manufacturer during World War II, accounting for only 4% of total wartime production.

VG original condition, Standard Products M1 Carbine made in early 1944, with a blued front sight and flat bolt, other parts parkerized with correct markings, wear and patina consistent with a late war gun that saw moderate service use, the stock oil darkened with handling marks, a 3" crack extending forward from the magazine recess and noticeable knot at bottom of toe, both clearly photographed. Near mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
