Standard configuration Union Switch & Signal Co. M1 Carbine marked "UN-QUALITY", produced in 1943, .30 Cal, approximately 30,000 "UN-QUALITY" marked rifles in the serial range 4,432,XXX to 4,532,XXX. Standard 18" INLAND MFG. DIV./General Motors/ "2-44" barrel with "P" proof having fixed blade front sight and flip-up rear sight. Chamber marked "U.S. CARBINE / CAL. .30 M1". Flat blued bolt. Rear receiver "UN-QUALITY" stamped above SN: 4456747. "LT-Q" on front of magazine release. Disassembly shows LTQ on hammer and Q-TX on the trigger guard. "RMC" inspector marked inside handguard. High wood stock with P accepted pistol grip, Ordnance wheel on right side of oval-slotted buttstock, the sling recess marked "Q-RMC". Standard 15-round blued magazine with "SW" on spine. Complete with original green canvassling.
