For your consideration, a Winchester M1 Carbine chambered in .30 Carbine. This piece features many early features including L rear sight, crossbolt safety, and flat bolt. The high-wood stock is stamped with "W" and W.R.A. for Winchester, G.H.D. for Inspector Lt. Col. Guy H Drewry, and faintly with the crossed cannons Ordnance Department Acceptance device. The barrel with integral gas chamber, slide, 2-rivet upper handguard, hammer, trigger housing, safety button, magazine release, sear, trigger, receiver are all Winchester production. While the barrel band is unmarked, that would be correct for Winchester production as well. This piece dates to 1943. .30 Carbine
