"WWII U.S. Springfield M1 Garand .30-06 (L2025-11423)

Description:
"Serial No. 3181449, manufactured circa September 1944. Chambered in .30-06 with a 24" round barrel. Date and barrel markings are faint due to dark parkerization. Bolt is marked “D28287-12SA/S-04"; heat lot “B31C/D28291 35." Uncut op-rod is marked “D35382 9 SA." Trigger housing is marked “D28290-12-SA," with hammer “C46008-5 SA." Rear sight is the later Type III lock bar with rounded ends. Stock shows light handling impressions and retains crisp markings, including the “S.A./G.A.W." inspector cartouche with Ordnance escutcheon and a circled “P" proof on the wrist. Includes a green canvas sling. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A strong representative example of a late-1944 wartime Springfield Garand with correct WWII features and finish.
