"WWII U.S. Springfield M1 Garand .30-06 (L2025-11428)

Description:
"Serial No. 1738108, manufactured circa mid-1943 by Springfield Armory. Chambered in .30-06 with a 24" round barrel marked “S-A 3-46," indicating a post-war re-barrel while retaining its original WWII receiver. The bolt is correctly marked “D28287-12SA/S-B10" with heat lot “B6B/D28291 28." Operating rod has been arsenal cut and is marked “D35382 SA." Trigger housing and internals remain SA marked, maintaining proper wartime configuration. Stock is solid and well-preserved with light handling wear. Faint traces of a right-side cartouche are still visible, along with a circle “P" and secondary “P" proof at the wrist, consistent with U.S. service inspection standards. Action is smooth and functions reliably. Rifle comes fitted with a handsome, period-correct leather sling. A classic mid-war example with arsenal-upgraded features.
