EARLY 1ST. ISSUE UNITED STATES MARINE CORP USMC SPRINGFIELD U.S. M1 GAS TRAP GARAND RECEIVER CA. 1939 & 1940. Only 2000 first issue pre-WW2 Gas Trap Garands in the first Marine Corps shipment. Serial number 3753 listed in Springfield Research Service Vol. 3, P137. Received at San Diego July 14, 1939 and first issued May 9, 1940. Excellent all original and with perfect markings. Only 2000 of these original issues to the Marines and ultra-scarce.
