Description:
Up for sale is a H&R M1 Service Grade Special (30-06) that I purchased from the CMP in 2013. The rifle appears to have all of the correct parts as issued from the factory except for the stock and associated hardware. The CMP shipped the rifle with a new birch stock set. As shown in the pictures the barrel and all of the major parts including the bolt, op rod, barrel and trigger assembly are stamped HRA. It appears that the receiver and barrel have the original as issued parts. I replaced the birch stock with a nice grade walnut stock that was inlet by DGR when they were still in business.
The rifle has seen very little use since received. The muzzle still gauges as a”1”, being still like new.
The cosmetic condition of the rifle is as seen in the pictures. The barrel muzzle gauge reading is “1” as would be expected with a like new barrel.
