An outstanding ‘’CMP’’sales example of the M1 Garand as manufactured  by ‘’HARRINGTON RICHARDSON ARMS’’ who manufactured one of the finest M1 Garand Rifles there was. This M1, in the HRA ‘’5,586,---‘’ serial number is in their last assigned SN range that went from 5488998 to 5793170. Not only is this an exceptional example of a later HRA manufacture, as sold through the CMP, but it is indeed all correct and ALL MATCHING ‘’HRA’’ parts throughout! *Book Reference: Please refer to the fine books on M1 Garands by Scott A. Duff and also Bruce N. Canfield on this subject as these are ‘’the bible’’ on the M1 Garand Rifles *Matching/Originality/*Finish & %: This most Historical Harrington Richardson Arms M1 Garand shows only light Service use and as stated it remains ALL ‘’HRA’’ MATCHING in metal parts and appx finish % shown in ( %) behind each part as follows:  (*Reciever (95%), *Barrel ‘’HRA 3-55’’ (95%), *Bolt (95%+), *Operating Rod (98%), *Gas Cylinder assembly (95%) with correct HRA/Wide front sight and even ‘’HRA’’ marked Gas Plug, *Rear Sight Assembly (95%+) even both windage and elevation knobs are ‘’HRA’’ marked, *Trigger Housing (98%) with all parts (housing, hammer, safety) correctly ‘’HRA’’ marked plus all internal parts are correct. Indeed everything is HRA ‘’Text Book’’ correct throughout. *Proofs/Markings: All are absolutely 100% Factory Perfect, deep sharp and crisp! Even the ‘’U.S. RIFLE over CAL..30 M1 over H & R ARMS CO over 5586---‘’ is perfect, deep, sharp and crisp! *Bore: The BORE  rates absolutely BEAUTIFUL bright, shiny and MINT and the chamber throat gauging at only a 2 which is NEW! *Action/Mechanically: These areas are also perfect and the HRA M1 Garands are some of the finest! *Wood set: The walnut wood set amazingly shows only light expected Service use, wear, storage/handling marks one would expect and rates excellent overall and the stock has its very nice original and untouched (small) HRA ‘’NATIONAL DEFENSE STAMP‘’ (3 Stars over Eagle/Boxed) Cartouche! Again this too is absolutely 100% original not a fake or Collector re-strike! Also on the pistol grip is the original ‘’CIRCLE P’’ Proof and it is very nice and also unquestionably original! These are all still very sharp! There are no rebuild, Arsenal markings nor any evidence of any ever being there and the wood set is untouched, never cleaned, sanded or messed with! The butt plate is original and it simply shows expected light service use! *Accessories: Though this most Historical ‘’HRA’’ M1 did not come with a sling we will add a used one if available, just ask us at time of purchase! *History/Use: What a most fantastic piece of very M1 Garand History this is and the HRA variation of the M1 Garand represents one of the finest in quality, fit and finish of all the manufacturers and this example is one of the best graded of the CMP M1 Garands and again all Matching and original thru out!
