Description:
PRE-WW2 SPRINGFIELD U.S. M1 OR M-1 GARAND RIFLE. .30-06 caliber. Serial number in the 6,xxx range with original manufacture date Jan. 1939. Barrel dated “11-44” and stamped “S A”. Original gas trap as re-issued in 1944. Matching wood and original circa 1944 parts. Really nice war used example. Has good inspector’s cartouche on stock with Ordnance circled cannons. Stock with painted Korean arsenal markings where this Garand undoubtedly saw re-issue during the Korean War as well. Working order and good bore with moderate wear.
