Springfield Armory M1 Garand 6 Digit Serial
Description:
SOLD
Springfield Armory M1 Garand rifle, with receiver and barrel dating to early WW2. This Garand was originally sold through the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) as a service grade rifle in 2020. It is a postwar rebuild, with a mix of WW2 and postwar parts (marked parts are detailed below) and a USGI walnut stock. This rifle has unusual tags: one says Roosevelt High School (unsure of location), and the other is a faded inspection tag dating to the mid 1960s. This M1 is in very good used condition. Serial number dates to April 1942. Metal parts show no sign of pitting. The wood appears to be a USGI rebuild, no visible cartouches. It is very nice, with minimal dings, no sign of cracks or repairs. The bore is bright and shiny. The gun has been tested and operates perfectly. CMP Certificate of Authenticity, hang tag and manual included, along with two M1 clips (no ammo).
