It replaced the bolt action 30.06 used in the 1st World War. Five years in combat around the world from 1941-1945. Then again in Korea in the early 50’s. All of the guns manufactured in part or in whole by 5+ companies were then mingled, disassembled, mix and matched and sold around the world for the last 65 years as surplus. The only existing, completely parts matching M1’s were and are in museums, private collections or never issued except to Presidents, Congressmen, Foreign Dignitaries, Generals or other high ranking Military Officers as gifts. All others are refurbished mix and match guns with a particular serialized receiver, the only original part on the gun. If you want a perfect specimen, you’re looking at $25,000 or more at . If you buy one in banged around condition and w/o expensive Gunsmith Inspection I would advise you to hang it on your wall and admire it only, not shoot it. People who are buying M1 C and D Sniper rifles are acquiring weapons that, from the start were flawed for many reasons never issued or used due to uncorrectable inaccuracy. Another wall hanger weapon admired in dreams and may not be original at all. My M1’s are created the same way but new in every aspect and shootable in every way. I have no idea if my receivers stormed the beach at Tarawa, Okinawa, or Anzio and neither does anyone else. This rifle is not a rough and battered up Military Surplus weapon. It can be displayed as a Pristine Collector in your Gun Case or enjoyed on the Rifle Range or on the Hunting Ground. We have invested hours in proper head spacing and proper new barrel fitting and seating. New Furniture and refurbished hardware, Bayonet and Buttstock Cleaning Kit. This rifle and it's condition are hard to find and many others are possibly unsafe to shoot repeatably. To purchase you have to have an FFL or an FFL Dealer. The weapon will only be shipped to the address of the FFL License after I receive a wire transfer of funds to my bank. I will provide my Banking Account number and routing number, my drivers License and address & phone number. I have conducted many sales through Guns International this way with no complaints. Make sure you know which gun this is and it is the one you are looking for as there are no returns. No exceptions.
