US Rifle Springfield Armory M1A Garand 308 Win 26" BRL EXC Bore Made January 1940
Description: The Springfield Armory M1A Garand is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .308 Winchester. It features a 26-inch barrel that includes a ported muzzle brake within its measured length. The rifle was manufactured in January 1940 and bears serial number 028920. The receiver and major components retain a military-style finish, and the rifle is configured with adjustable sights, including a National Match rear peep sight and National Match front sight. The bolt is marked TRW, and the trigger housing is HR-N marked with a modified milled M1 trigger guard designed to function with this receiver. Additional components include an SA-marked M1 hammer and safety, along with an SA NM-marked M1 operating rod. The barrel is unmarked. The bore condition is described as excellent, showing mirror-like shine and strong rifling. The stock and metal trapdoor buttplate are noted to be in very good to excellent military condition. The stock has been converted to accept detachable magazines, though a Springfield M1A magazine does not fit and no magazine is included. This rifle is used. Included with the rifle is the attached ported muzzle brake. No other accessories or magazines accompany the firearm. The rifle retains its original Springfield Armory configuration with documented modifications to the trigger housing and stock.
