Winchester M1 Garand 30-06 Gov Semi 24" Barrel 8 Rd Excellent Bore Made 05-44 C&R Okay.
Description: The Winchester M1 Garand is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, equipped with a 24-inch barrel and an eight-round en-bloc clip system. The receiver bears drawing number D28291-2 and corresponds to a production date of May 1944. The rifle combines a Winchester receiver, bolt, and hammer with a Springfield Armory trigger assembly, operating rod, and barrel dated April 1947. The metal surfaces show a gray patina consistent with age, with no pitting noted under the wood line. The stock is a smooth walnut pistol-grip type marked with a “P” proof on the grip and a cartouche on the left side. A factory metal buttplate with a hinged trap door houses the cleaning kit. The bore is described as excellent, showing bright lands and grooves with strong rifling, measuring approximately 1+ at the breech and 2 at the muzzle. The rifle retains its standard adjustable military rear peep sight and front blade sight arrangement. Overall configuration and markings are consistent with wartime Winchester M1 Garand production. This rifle is used and qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm. It maintains its original military configuration and an eight-round capacity. Included is the internal cleaning kit stored in the buttstock compartment. Serial number 2434784 corresponds to May 1944 manufacture. No additional accessories are listed beyond the components described.
