"Pre-WWII German “BSW/1938" Code K98 Bolt Action Rifle – 8mm (L2025-11476)

Description:
"Serial No. 3906, manufactured in 1938, 8mm, 24" round barrel. Rifle remains in very good overall condition, with matching serial numbers throughout. Metal surfaces show evidence of an older arsenal refinish, with Waffenamt inspection marks still visible. The extractor and bolt release have developed a plum-toned finish, adding character to the rifle’s appearance. The hardwood stock is solid and displays only light handling impressions, with faint Waffenamt markings noted along the right side. Action is smooth and functions correctly. Rifle comes complete with its original sling. A well-preserved and desirable example of a BSW-coded 1938 K98, produced just prior to the full-scale wartime ramp-up of German Mauser manufacturing.
