"Russian Tula Arsenal Model 1891/59 Bolt Action Rifle – 7.62×54R (L2026-02081)
Description:
"Serial No. YA3156, manufactured in 1938 at the Tula Arsenal and later converted in the 1950s to the Model 1891/59 configuration. Chambered in 7.62×54R with a 20 ½" round barrel, the bore is bright with strong rifling. Serial numbers are matching, and the left side of the receiver is import marked. This rifle was shortened from a standard M91/30 during a Soviet postwar refurbishment program, resulting in a handy carbine-length rifle similar in profile to the M44 but without the folding bayonet. Finish shows light handling and usage wear consistent with storage and limited postwar service. These rifles were commonly exported to allied Eastern Bloc nations, including Bulgaria. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A solid Cold War–era example representing the final evolutionary stage of the Mosin-Nagant platform.
