"Serial no. 34953. Manufactured in 1939, chambered in 8mm, 29 ¼"" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are non-matching. The rifle remains in overall good condition with typical service wear and noted arsenal repairs to the stock, reflecting its long period of military use. The Turkish Model 1938 rifles were part of Turkey’s standardization program, refurbishing and updating earlier Mauser-pattern rifles into a unified configuration for continued service through the mid-20th century.
