Description:

Beautiful Persian military 98-29 rifle, made by Brno, caliber 8x57 (8mm Mauser), serial number C04306. This rifle has a 29" barrel with drift adjustable front sight with protective ears, and a tangent rear sight with Farsi graduations. There is an ornate Persian lion crest on the top of the receiver. Both sides marked with Farsi/Persian inscriptions, the previous importer having applied the referenced serial number in English characters. No other importer markings/alterations. All visible parts have matching serial numbers. Metal components with rich original blue, the stock heavily varnished as correct for this rifle. Complete with its original cleaning rod, bottom mounted sling swivels, and MATCHING BAYONET.

Condition:

EXC original condition, the metal parts retaining 99++% of their blue, in-the-white parts with minimal staining. Stock with a scattering of handling/rack marks, most noticeable around the left side of the stock crossbolt with several noticeable blemishes on the right side below the body of the bolt. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Bayonet is graded EXC with no suggestion of having been polished.
