Here we present a C&R CZ Brazilian Contract Model 1908/34 Military Police Carbine, made circa 1934 in Brno, Czechoslovakia. This rifle was produced on export contract for the Brazilian Military Police from the Czech Arsenal at Brno. These rifles were very well built and durable. Many of these were later converted from 7mm to the more popular and easily attained .30-06 caliber.

This example still remains in its original 7x57mm configuration and is a tough Mauser to find still unconverted. During its production run there were 100,500 produced, and not many of them running around here in the United States. These rifles look at lot like the VZ24 rifles, but are a completely different firearm. CZ referred to these internally as the 12/33. El Salvador and Brazil were the only two countries that signed contracts for the particular model, with El Salvador ordering only 5,600, making them quite rare.

The overall condition is good. Strong action. Bright bore throughout. This example showcases a fine stock with less than average wear. Sharp markings. Mixed numbers. The leather sling is in good shape.
