Numbers Matching, No Import Marks - 7mm Mauser
Description:
A very nice condition 1949 Venezuelan FN 49 in 7mm Mauser. This was the first production run of the venerable FN49 rifle.
A total of 8,000 rifles were manufactured in Belgium and shipped to Venezuela, including this one. This rifle features all numbers matching components, no import marks, and is in very good shape. The metal is in excellent condition and retains almost all of its finish, minus the buttplate. The wood is also in great shape, with a few light scratches and no cracks or chips. The bore was difficult to photograph, but is shiny with sharp lands and grooves. Features an adjustable gas system, an optics rail, and the factory muzzle brake. This rifle was a safe queen, and I have not fired it. However, I have read that the adjustable gas system, muzzle brake, and relatively low powered cartridge make it an extremely pleasant rifle to shoot.
