Egyptian Rasheed Carbine 7.62 X 39
Description: The Rasheed Carbin is a semi-automatic carbine. It is derived from the Swedish Agm/42B rifle that was designed by Erik Eklund. Cartridge 7.62X39, weighs 9.2 pounds unloaded, 40.7 inches long, barrel 20 inches, action direct impingement, gas operated. One ten round magazine was issued per rifle. It was intended the same stipper clips used for the SKS be used for the Rasheed Carbin. Rear ladder back sight, blade front sight. Resembles the SKS Carbine, particularly with the twelve inch pivoting attached bayonet. Egypt purchased AG42 Ljungman tooling from Sweden in 1952. Egypt used the AG42 tooling to design and manufacture the 7.62 x 39 Rasheed Carbine. Egypt Military manufactured about 7,300 Rasheed Carbines from 1966 - 1968. The Rasheed Carbines were issued to the Egyptian Army , and were in service in the Six Day War and Yom Kippur War with Israel. 3,731 Rasheed Carbines were reported lost in these wars. Leaving less than 4,000 Rasheed Carbines remaining. The Owner, in his personal selection ,had this Rasheed Carbine displayed ,hanging on the wall at the Federal Ordnance Facility. It was not for sale until the business closed about thirty years ago. I bought the rifle and took it to the Range once. Shot a very small group of five shoots, and the Carbine has not been shot since. The pictures show the Carbine is in very good to excellent condition. The wood is refinished and unmarked. Will accept only FFLs for transfer. Sale only to lower 48 States. USPS Money Orders for payment. Rifle will be shipped by USPS Insured Priority Mail. Sold in AS-IS condition and no return accepted. Thanks for looking. You will not be disappointed with this Carbine.
